While waiting for my (new) mechanic..

I took my beleaguered car to my new mechanic this morning. He's busy undoing the real damage done by the previous, it turns out (and I have to slip the word "allegedly" in here), semi-skilled mechanic who was less than honest, putting it mildly.
That's an eight-month saga for another time. The finishing chapter is still playing out.. Watch this space!

I used the opportunity to traipse around with my appendage, while he was grappling under my hood. Ok, that sounds a bit wrong, but you get what I mean. :) If you ever see me without my camera, you need to ask me what’s wrong?!

Anyway, It didn't end well, more parts required. He had to lift me home, but I got to take some photos, which always makes me happy!

His workshop is right at the seaside, a lovely bit of coastline.

Ok, I think I’ll go left, not that I’m deterred by a bit of rickety fence..

Arums growing in situ..

I’ve no idea, there isn’t an inscription.

One of my many weaknesses, rusty corrugated iron.

Broken windscreen, Pt I

.. and Pt II

The owner noticed me taking photos of his cute, knee-high gate, so he came out and we got chatting. We discovered we have several friends in common.

On spring tides, he says, the water is almost lapping at his gate!

Peaceful place for pondering.

Put out to pasture, for the grater good.

More corru-love..

Friend or foe, and what’s he pointing at me?

Moments when the sun breaks through the clouds.

Time to head back, only to find my car doesn’t even start now, despite his best efforts, but he thinks he knows the problem (touch wood), and a new part is on its way, so he kindly gives me a lift back home.
