Some Background on Reverend Joseph Hamilton.
After the accident, which was entirely of his own making, in trying to make light of the situation with some ‘small talk’, he mentioned to me he was a former banker (banksters, as I call them) from Ireland. He’s Irish. (Actually, our few interactions were only about him. He certainly didn’t give a sh1t about me, my badly damaged car, my injured dog. No, it was all about his sore knee and elbow from the airbags popping.)

This is what happens when one is allegedly on one’s phone while driving. There can be no other logical explanation, and this was coming from one of the witnesses driving behind him. The idiot probably didn’t realise there is no signal on the top of Ou Kaapse Weg.
I digress. He then went to the UK to work for Deutsche Bank, if I recall. Next stop for Hamilton was Sydney, Australia, still as a bankster.
It was there he decided to give his life to G-d. If my memory fails me, I pray for forgiveness, dear Father. (He appears to use the titles Priest, Reverend, Reverendo, Rev, and Father (Fr.) interchangeably).

He ‘signed up’, for want of a better term, with the Catholic Diocese in Sydney. He was appointed as secretary to Cardinal George Pell, the Archbishop of Sydney.
The name Cardinal George Pell may ring a bell with you. Pell, an Australian, was once the third-highest-ranked Catholic in the Vatican after earlier serving as the Archbishop of Melbourne and Archbishop of Sydney.
But Pell aspired to even greater heights, however. He went on to become the most senior Catholic cleric to be convicted of child sex abuse. He spent 404 days in solitary confinement in his native Australia. (404 is an interesting number - (pedo)File Not Found error.)

So poor pedo-Pell popped his clogs in 2023. No amount of praying saved him from the operating table after hip surgery. He was 81. Good riddance, I say.
How ironic- He set up the Melbourne Response, which was a protocol to investigate complaints of clergy sexual abuse and to compensate victims. The abuse victims were less-than-impressed, however, and were highly critical of the system and its compensation payments.
So ja, that is Rev Joseph Hamilton’s entrée to the Catholic world. He’s foregone the life of expensive cars and fancy suits for a frock.
Knowing full well the scandalous and utterly disgraceful history surrounding Pell, I wonder why anyone would want to further their career by being closely associated with such a despicable person? Rev Joseph Hamilton certainly did. Why?
I hasten to add, with a lashing of cynicism, that the sex abuse charges against Pell were ultimately dropped. The victims heard this with utter disblief. Their voices were of no consequence in the proceedings.
