Sheeps..

Nothing much cuter than a friendly sheep, other than a lamb. Here are a few of my encounters..

Note his fur on the barbed wire.. :)

Also note the flowering indigenous common coral tree, Erythrina lysistemon, one of our early indicators that Spring has sprung.

Sheep and squawking bird, in the heat and heart of the Karoo. I’m sure they’d prefer to be relieved of that excess wool. Or not? Maybe it counter-intuitively protects them from the direct sun?

The women, orderly at dinner time..

The men, not so much!

Wary, unsure if I’m friend or foe..

Innocence Of The Lambs

I decided to “paint” this photo of a rather domesticated sheep.

Where's dad?

There he is. C'mon, we'd better not keep him waiting, you know how impatient he gets..

Summoning my flock ;) Photo by Sylvie.

Following the bread crumbs home..
